Select residential inventory data is now available to clients. It will be of interest to organizations that have a business need for more detailed property information in addition to those agencies that develop and market value-added property information products.

The information available includes public assessment roll information in addition to the following property inventory details for each residential property requested. All property data provided is current to the most recently published assessment roll.

  • Assessment Roll Number
  • Main Building Manual Class
  • Year Built
  • Effective Year
  • Total Finished Area
  • Number of Storeys
  • Number of Bathrooms
  • Number of Bedrooms
  • Foundation
  • Garage
  • Carport
  • Pool (Y/ N)

For single property purposes this information is available via BC OnLine. For those clients requesting bulk inventory data (for multiple properties) it will be provided electronically under the terms of a licensing agreement.

The fees for provision of this detailed residential inventory data is as follows:

  • Single Property Inventory Data (via BC Online) - $16.00 per property
  • Bulk Inventory Data (available for complete taxing jurisdictions only)

Companies or organizations that are interested in accessing this information in bulk form must submit a formal request to BC Assessment. Upon review and approval of the intended use of the inventory data, the client will be required to enter into a Licensing Agreement.

Licensees may only use the data for purposes expressly approved by BC Assessment. Licensing agreements will contain terms and conditions to ensure the security of the data, protection of the public and protection of BC Assessment. In preparing submissions it must be noted that BC Assessment will not license data to those vendors whose products or marketing strategies will:

  • Result in the identification of any property owner,
  • Be considered to be harassment of any kind, including mass mailings or product solicitation.
