Information Access & Privacy 

BC Assessment is committed to customer service which is reliable, accessible, uniform and respectful.  As part of our commitment, we provide information to a variety of individuals such as property owners, property agents and members of the general public.
 
BC Assessment, as a public body, collects, uses, discloses and retains the information we need in order to establish and maintain uniform real property assessment throughout our province and produce annual assessment rolls.  The two principle pieces of legislation which govern BC Assessment’s information disclosure and privacy protection practices are the Assessment Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP Act).
